There are so very many important places of service at Pony Partners. We are a grateful team working together for our mission. Come join us!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Barn Volunteers are essential to the health and wellbeing of our herd. Their facilities need to be regularly cleaned and maintained. Hay, grain, water, salt and other basics need to be given as prescribed by the barn manager. Barn volunteers may choose to help out with cleaning stalls, cleaning buckets and filling water tanks, picking paddocks, grooming and more
Sessions are designed with the intention of helping each child to know that God loves them and has a wonderful plan for their life. Our horses partner with us in reinforcing key principles of living and open opportunities for growth and learning. Our framework is basic unmounted horsemanship, so horse experience is necessary. You will partner with one child and one miniature horses to complete a horsemanship lesson which will have a spiritual application and devotional theme which has been developed with your team.
Pony Partners is developing a play area for younger siblings of ranchers who will be in session. It is important for the rancher to be left undisturbed during the session and also for the other children to be safe and engaged in a supervised play area. Parents are expected to supervise as well but we offer this opportunity so that they may watch their rancher, network with other parents, etc.
A Host is the person who helps greet the entire family and supports their time at Pony Partners. Underage children can be introduced to a playground aide so that they are kept safe and engaged to allow our session to take place uninterrupted. Hosts also can support parents and other attending adults or older siblings to enjoy our seating area and visit with each other. Hosts may also support parents or guardians through listening, encouraging and prayer.
From time to time we have special projects happening on the farm. In Spring/Summer 2023 we are remodeling our big barn to have a classroom and an indoor area so that we can continue our sessions and camps without interruption from the weather.
